How LabHack can help.

Two ways to work together — a tool built specifically for your lab, or time and expertise to figure out where automation is actually worth building at all.

Service 01

Custom Lab Automation Tools

I work directly with your lab or CRO to build a tool around your actual assay, your plate layout, and the readout your team already trusts — not a generic template you have to bend your data to fit. The four tools in the toolbox are real examples of the finish level you get: fully interactive, verified against known reference data before delivery, and yours to keep.

  • Data ingestion that matches how your instrument already exports — paste, upload, or a plate map, not a rigid CSV format you have to reshape by hand.
  • The actual calculations your assay needs, checked against synthetic data with a known correct answer before it ever reaches your bench.
  • Visualization built for the decision you're making — not a default chart type, the view that actually answers your question.
  • Export in the format your team already uses, so the tool fits into your existing records instead of replacing them.
  • Delivery as a single file you host or embed anywhere — no subscription, no vendor lock-in, no dependency on me to keep running.

Good fit if: your lab runs the same analysis by hand repeatedly, your CRO needs a standardized readout across many client studies, or your current process lives in a spreadsheet only one person really understands.

Service 02

Lab Data & Process Automation Consulting

Sometimes what you need isn't a new tool — it's an outside engineer's time and eyes on your lab's actual workflow, to find out where automation would genuinely pay off and where it wouldn't.

  • Workflow audits — watching how data actually moves from instrument to decision, and finding the real bottleneck (it's often not where you'd guess).
  • Build-vs-buy guidance on whether a custom tool, an existing software package, or a simple process change solves the problem.
  • SOP and data-pipeline design so the same analysis produces the same answer no matter who on your team runs it.
  • Training so your team can maintain and extend what gets built, instead of it becoming one more thing that depends on a single person.

Good fit if: you're planning a scale-up, deciding whether to build in-house or bring in help, or standardizing a process across multiple people or sites.

How We Work Together

A short, honest process.

STEP 1

Discovery call

A straightforward conversation about your current process and what's actually slowing it down.

STEP 2

Scoping

We agree in writing on exactly what the tool or engagement will — and won't — cover.

STEP 3

Build or advise

I build the tool against real data from your lab, or deliver the consulting work we scoped.

STEP 4

Handoff & support

You get something your team owns outright, documented well enough that it doesn't depend on me forever.
